It's pretty simple actually, include the login credentials, hit record and update the computer exactly as you would. We currently use the JitBit Macro Recorder to log a machine in under specific credentials, then self initiate a combination of "Run File" commands so that each computer is updated step by step exactly the way we wanted, multiplied over a large number of machines without having to go back and change any network, printer, or saved profile settings. Some would say "Just update one then image the computer!" which is what we do, but for back up purposes only, when you have different computers in separate locations using static IPs you'll find you'll individually have to go to each computer regardless. Sometimes pushing updates out includes going back and disabling the auto-updates that are changed, registry values, etc. The main reason we tried (and looking to keep!) the JitBit Macro Recorder is because we've got a couple computer labs thrown into our total of about 375 computers on campus. First off, some macro recorders will only record keystrokes and simple commands.which the Macro Recorder can record keystrokes, mouse movement, and text inserts. There are a couple Macro Recorders out there but this one seemed to have all the odds & ends that we were looking for. This Review is for the JitBit Macro Recorder (They have a few different programs to choose from).
